About Dr Jacqueline Deen
Dr Jacqueline Deen is a senior dermatology registrar in the final stages of her specialist training with the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
Dr Deen has undertaken her dermatology training across several major Queensland hospitals, including Townsville University Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. She was awarded the Ken Paver Medal for the highest overall score in the medical aspect of the National Fellowship Examinations in 2024.
Dr Deen graduated from James Cook University in Far North Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She has published dermatological research in both national and international peer-reviewed journals. Dr Deen has also completed a postgraduate Masters of Medicine in Skin Cancer at the University of Queensland. She holds an academic title as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and regularly participates in teaching other dermatology registrars.
Dr Deen is interested in all aspects of general dermatology and enjoys managing both adult and paediatric patients. Her special areas of interest include skin cancer detection and management, acne, psoriasis, eczema, hyperhidrosis, vulval skin disorders, paediatric dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.
