Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a form of regenerative medicine, which uses natural growth factors found in the blood. This technique can rejuvenate skin, reduce hair loss, and enhance other cosmetic procedures.

Platelet-rich plasma is simply blood that contains more platelets than normal. PRP injections are prepared by taking a sample of a patient’s blood and using a centrifuge device to concentrate the platelets within the plasma. The PRP solution is then injected directly into the skin, causing the release of growth factors that stimulate tissue regeneration in a specific area.

Since PRP injections use a patient’s own blood, it is considered safe and can be administered alone or used in conjunction with other treatments, such as microneedling (‘vampire facial’) or lasers. The results of PRP treatment are most noticeable after several months, and are not permanent. Patients may require additional treatments to maintain results.

Disclaimer

Cosmetic procedures and laser treatments are elective interventions designed to enhance or improve appearance. While many patients achieve satisfactory results, it is important to understand that individual outcomes may vary significantly depending on factors such as skin type, age, genetics, lifestyle, medical history, and adherence to pre- and post-treatment care.

No Guarantee of Results:
We strive to deliver the best possible results, but no medical or cosmetic procedure can guarantee a specific outcome. Patients may experience varying degrees of improvement, and in some cases, results may be subtle or not meet expectations. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal outcomes.

Risks and Limitations:
All procedures carry inherent risks and potential side effects, including but not limited to redness, swelling, bruising, pigment changes, scarring, or unsatisfactory results. These risks will be discussed during your consultation and informed consent process.

Healing and Maintenance:
Healing times, final results, and duration of effects vary from person to person. Some procedures may require ongoing maintenance or follow-up treatments to sustain results. Strict adherence to post-procedure care instructions is essential to minimise complications and optimise results.

Consultation and Individual Assessment:
Prior to any treatment, a comprehensive consultation is necessary to determine your suitability and develop a personalized treatment plan. Any images, testimonials, or examples provided are for illustrative purposes only and do not guarantee similar results.
