About Dr Sarah Morton

Dr Sarah Morton is a Queensland-trained specialist dermatologist, and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Dr Morton studied medicine at the University of Queensland, during which time she undertook an elective rotation in dermatology at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Netherlands. Whilst working as a junior doctor at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, she obtained a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University, completing it with her research project ‘Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide and Sport’. 

Dr Morton completed her specialist dermatology training in Queensland at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Townsville University Hospital, Queensland Institute of Dermatology, and Mater Hospital Brisbane.

Dr Morton has published research in peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented her work at dermatology meetings in Australia and internationally. She holds an academic appointment as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and is involved in teaching current dermatology registrars and medical students.

Dr Morton is passionate about all aspects of general dermatology and is dedicated to providing personalised patient-centered care. Her special interests include eczema, psoriasis, acne, autoimmune connective tissue diseases, blistering disorders, female genital dermatology, paediatric dermatology, and skin cancer detection and management.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys travelling, and spending time with friends and family. She played netball in the Queensland State League for 15 years, with her final season in 2024. She has an active research interest regarding sun protection in sport. Sarah also enjoys music and has toured within Australia and internationally to France with Brisbane Birralee Voices.
